Rubbers are very elastic materials. We make extruded articles with thermoplastic rubbers, EPDM rubbers and silicon rubbers.

Thermoplastic Rubbers

These special thermoplastic materials combine the particular features of elastomers (EPDM) with the transformation property of thermoplastics. The property of high elasticity is due to a particular chemical large-meshed cross-link. In this way we get a transition zone, passing from rigid thermoplastic materials (polyolefin), through thermoplastic materials with high elasticity (similar to the vulcanized rubbers), to the elastomers group, in which the cross-link reaction happens. Our company has developed, together with the suppliers, specific formulations for their use in the doors and windows industry. In our production, there are four kind of products:


Used for the production of rigid and semi-rigid profiles, looking like the polyolefin, but having physical-mechanical features typical of thermoplastic rubbers.


Used for producing flexible and semi-rigid profiles, having physical-mechanical features typical of vulcanized rubbers.


Specific formulations chemically consistent in order to get co-extruded rigid-semi-rigid-flexible profiles, with physical-mechanical features close to the vulcanized rubbers.


Special formulation of thermoplastic rubber, mixed with expanding products in order to get expanded articles with features of the classic thermoplastic rubbers.

EPDM rubber

The EPDM rubber is a material that can be much lengthened and then can quickly come back to the initial length. Its elastic proprieties are due to its very long molecules, that, at rest, withdraw into themselves and, if subjected to traction, they are able to spread out and finally to get back the original configuration, when the stress stops. Unlike the thermoplastic polymers, the macromolecules forming the rubber have a kind of cross-linkage, that means they have not a “filiform” structure, but a “interwoven” one (like a net), and this allows the macromolecules to bring back the configuration preceding the stress. Our experience, together with our suppliers of raw materials, allowed us to get specific formulations for every single use. In our production, there are three kinds of products:


Used for producing flexible and semi-rigid profiles and pressed, it has high physical-chemical feature, that give products high levels of dimensional stability and compression-set.


Used for producing expanded profiles, that have excellent dimensional stability and compression-set proprieties.


Special formulations of compact and expanded rubbers, in order to get co-extruded profiles that perform very well.

Silicone rubbers

The SILFLEX silicone rubbers are polymers that, by adding a suitable catalyst or a vulcanization agent, can be vulcanized both at high temperature and ambient temperature, in order to get objects with a definite shape, with all the proprieties of a rubber. Generally the silicon rubbers are highly resistant to temperature, chemical attacks and oxidation and they are excellent non-conductors. They are excellent non-stick, elastic, ageing and heat-resistant.
